Concealed KEF Cinema, Custom Crafted.
A 7.2.2 Dolby Atmos living-room theater by Fam Tech Media, in collaboration with Theater Cabinets.
PROJECT GALLERY
Cinema sound. Living-room style.
A beautiful living room can also be an extraordinary place to experience a film. For this collaboration with Theater Cabinets, Fam Tech Media integrated a high-end KEF sound system into custom cabinetry, keeping the room’s architectural character at the center of the design.
The system behind the experience
KEF Front Speakers
Concealed front speakers: A pair of KEF R11 Meta speakers sits within the tall cabinet sections. A KEF R6 Meta center speaker anchors dialogue beneath the display.
KEF Subwoofers
Dual subwoofers: Two KEF KC92 subwoofers occupy the lower cabinets, bringing cinematic bass into the living space.
Surrounds & Dolby Atmos
The 7.2.2 system uses four KEF Ci200QR 8-inch in-ceiling speakers for the surrounds and rear surrounds, plus two TDG Audio NFC-63A angled speakers for the dedicated Dolby Atmos height channels.
Power & Control
Power and control: A Marantz CINEMA 30 receiver and an Emotiva XPA-3 Gen3 amplifier power the system, with the Emotiva dedicated to the front left, center, and right channels. AVA Cinema Remote control brings the components together for everyday use.
